Visiting North Topsail Beach?

Here’s what to do during your stay…

Located on Topsail Island, the town of North Topsail Beach has a population of only 743, but that doesn’t mean it has a lack of attractions. If you are visiting North Topsail Beach, here are a few things you will want to add to your bucket list.

#1. Permuda Island Reserve

Declared a nature preserve during the 1980s, Permuda Island spans around 65 acres, and contains a mile and a half of shoreline. Best known for its oyster beds, this preserve is an excellent spot to view sea birds and wildlife. People often visit to explore the grounds, which contain an abandoned farmhouse, wells, and remnants of an old foundation.

#2. Canoeing, Paddle Boating, or Kayaking

Bring your own watercraft or rent a boat from one of the many outfitters in North Topsail Beach. Not an experienced paddler? If so, that’s no problem either, as there are plenty of guided tours that are suitable for the entire family. Many of them even come with child-sized paddles so the little ones in your group can try their hand at navigating.

#3. North Topsail Beach Town Park

North Topsail Beach Town Park, located right along the beach, is a great place to build sandcastles or go swimming. When you get tired of playing in the water, you may also enjoy a game of basketball, volleyball, tennis, or horseshoes while listening to the waves pounding against the shore. The picnic shelter is available for day use, or may be reserved in advance for special occasions.

In addition to these attractions, there are also plenty of restaurants, shops, and other interesting places to visit. Plan a visit to North Topsail Beach soon so that you can enjoy all of the fun for yourself and your whole family.
