Punta Cana Beach

Punta Cana was all that I hoped for. More specially, the Majestic Elegance was the perfect hotel to stay at for your Dominican Republic experience. I am a very obnoxious person when booking a vacation, as I research my destination to the point of exhaustion. Thankfully, the 4.5-star review displayed on TripAdvisor was very accurate. My six-night stay at the Majestic Elegance was relaxing, pampering, worry-free, and full of fun. What makes a vacation great though? It is different for everyone. For me, it was an obligation-free vacation with no responsibilities except to lay in the sand at the beach. We lounged in one of the wonderful beach side beds staring out into the ocean daily.

My favorite parts of Punta Cana

An All-Inclusive Experience-  This is such a rewarding factor. Eat at one of the delicious restaurants in the hotel, and order as much as you want without feeling guilty. The Italian and Hibachi restaurants were my favorite, and interestingly enough my husband loved the buffet. Stop by one of the 11 bars in this hotel to get a drink of your choice. The bars even included top-shelf choices! All of this without having to pull our wallets out.

The Beach-  If you are looking for an immediate vacation feel with the vacation views to go along with it, the beach is where you need to be. With the most beautiful and inviting blue water, this is a wonderful place to spend a day (or an entire week). We got our most captivating tans on this beach and we loved that we could refresh ourselves with the sun-warmed salt water. And thanks to the Majestic Elegance, we had so many inclusive activities to partake in while beachside. Free activities for guests included kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, pedal boats and sunfish sailing- without the hotel staff tagging along. You stop at the rental booth area, which is conveniently located on the beach and pick up life vests for the free activity of your choice. This is also the booth you visit to look into different excursions, such as deep sea fishing, a booze cruise, or snorkeling. My only suggestion is to put on your SPF because the sun seems to always be shining!

Now that I think about it, my husband may have left his beer on the beach- we better go back and look for it…
