2. Visit the sea turtles

Take advantage of the area’s fascinating wildlife!  Visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center located in nearby Surf City. This facility’s mission is the preservation of marine turtles through the care of sick and injured sea turtles that eventually get returned to the wild. Tickets are just $5 for general admission and $3 for children 12 years and under.

3. Soak in some history

A hidden treasure of Topsail Beach is the Missiles and More Museum. Built in 1946, the building was first used by the government for a secret missile operation and was later opened as a museum in 1995. Some of the exhibits currently on display are Barrier Island, Camp Davis, Pirates and many more. Admission is free.
